As the child of Stanley Willard Henson, Jr an ophthalmologist, and Thelma Burnell Henson, Michele Carey whose birth name is Michele Lee Henson was born on February 26, 1942 in Annapolis, Maryland in the United States of America. At the age of thirteen and a professional pianist and won a competition in the Chicago Music Festival. Her family settled in Fort Collins in Colorado, and she finished her secondary schooling at Fort Collins High School in 1960. Then she moved in Los Angeles in order to pursue better career opportunities. Her first job was modeling following her signing with the Powers Agency, an elite modeling agency.
